Amazing things can happen at Fearrington! Ann and Robert Gwin moved to Fearrington Village in February from Floyds Knobs, Indiana, which had been their home for the past 35 years. A month after moving, the Gwins attended a Fearrington Film Club movie at the Gathering Place. Ann, having grown up in Michigan, was wearing a University of Michigan sweatshirt. A friendly blue eyed gentleman, Tom Skiver, was serving refreshments.
After striking up a conversation, he asked Ann what part of Michigan she was from. When Ann told him Dearborn, he said his wife, Pat, was also from Dearborn. In a few minutes, Ann and Pat realized that they had graduated the same year from Dearborn High School and also were in the same in 5th and 6th grade class! Since then, Ann and Pat have enjoyed reconnecting, including walking in Camden Park together regularly. Pat even found a photo of the two of them at a birthday party when they were 12 years old. What a small world! What are the odds that these two classmates would both land in Fearrington at the same time?
